FY 2025-26 Tax Slabs at a Glance
As per Budget 2025, the new tax regime continues to be the default for FY 2025-26 / AY 2026-27. The old regime remains available as an opt-in for those who want to claim deductions like 80C, HRA, and home loan interest.
New Regime — FY 2025-26

Standard deduction of ₹75,000 for salaried/pensioners. Rebate under Section 87A applies up to total income of ₹12,00,000 — making salaried income up to ₹12,75,000 effectively tax-free. Surcharge capped at 25%. Health & Education Cess of 4% applies on tax + surcharge.
Old Regime — FY 2025-26 (Below 60 years)
